Privacy Notice

Student Loan Division of the Colorado Department of Higher Education doing business as College Assist.

College Assist is required to give you this Notice concerning our policy related to privacy of nonpublic personal information ("NPPI") that we collect from you, and to provide you with a copy of this Notice each year that you are our customer. ("Nonpublic personal information" means personal information about you that identifies you, and that is not available from public sources.) College Assist respects your right to privacy and recognizes our obligation to keep information about you secure and confidential. Accordingly, we do not sell or share information about you with outside marketers.

College Assist collects nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

• Loan applications, promissory notes, correspondence, communications, and other forms;



• Your transactions with us or with others such as your lender(s) and the U.S. Department of Education and their respective agents with respect to your student loan;



• Various federal and state agencies;



• Schools you attend, or formerly attended, or to which you have applied for admission;



• Temporary Cookies (small pieces of data stored by your Internet Browser that are used to verify Log-on ID, verify and remember your Passwords for you, and provide customized content) that are deleted when you close your Internet Browser or log-off the College Assist Web Site; and



• Credit reporting agencies.
