Independent Student:
|
A student who will be 24 by December 31st of the financial aid award year, or, who is not yet 24 but meets at least one of the following criteria:
- Is married;
- Is a graduate or professional student;
- Is a veteran;
- Has legal dependents;
- Is an orphan or ward of the court;
- Has unusual circumstances that can be documented to a financial aid counselor.

Institutional Grant:
|
Monetary assistance provided by the college or university, community college, or vocational or career school for students with financial need. The FAFSA is your application. Other forms may be required.
